Global Humanitarian Organization Fighting Drug Abuse

O.H.C. is a humanitarian organization in Copenhagen working to raise awareness, educate youth, and prevent drug abuse through cooperation and compassion.

Drug Prevention & Awareness

Humanitarian Cooperation & Support

We focus on protecting youth and families through education, prevention campaigns, and international cooperation.

Our goal is to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and promote healthy, meaningful lifestyles.

We believe in the power of unity. By connecting people and organizations, we provide support, share knowledge, and create stronger, more caring communities.

In a world facing countless challenges — from social unrest to substance abuse and addiction — the need for unity, compassion, and proactive action has never been greater. The Organization for Humanitarian Cooperation (O.H.C.) was founded on the belief that true progress begins with education, awareness, and solidarity among people.

Our mission is to combat drug abuse and its devastating effects on individuals, families, and communities. Through education, prevention programs, and international collaboration, we work to protect especially young people from the dangers of narcotics and addiction.

O.H.C. promotes a world where every person, regardless of background, race, nationality, or religion, has the right to live free from the harm of drugs and social inequality. We believe that helping one person can transform an entire community — and that cooperation is the strongest weapon in the fight for a healthier, safer, and more humane future.

Through seminars, community projects, and educational campaigns, we aim to empower individuals with knowledge, inspire responsibility, and create meaningful change. Our work is guided by empathy, transparency, and the shared goal of building a society rooted in hope, respect, and human dignity.

Together, we can build a world where compassion defeats addiction, and unity replaces division.

Every small act of kindness brings us closer to a world free from addiction and inequality.

Why People Start Using Drugs

Substance use rarely starts for one reason.

It often develops from a combination of social, psychological, biological, and environmental factors.

Understanding these root causes helps us prevent addiction and support people before harm begins.

Environment O.H.C
Environment O.H.C

Environment

The environment we live in shapes our choices and behaviors.

Friends, family, school, and community influence how we view substance use.

When drugs or alcohol are normalized in someone’s surroundings, the risk of starting increases.

Family history O.H.C

Family History

Addiction risk can be passed down through families.

Genetics account for about 40–60% of a person’s vulnerability to substance use.

But awareness, education, and positive family support can break this cycle.

Trauma O.H.C

Trauma

Painful experiences often lead people to seek relief through substances.

Childhood trauma, abuse, or loss can increase the risk of addiction.

Healing begins with understanding and compassion, not judgment.

Mental / Behavioral Health

Mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, or stress can lead people to use substances as a form of relief.

Without proper support or treatment, these struggles may increase the risk of addiction.

Encouraging open conversations and providing early help makes healing possible.

You Are Not Alone — Support Is Closer Than You Think

Life’s challenges can feel overwhelming — but no one should face them alone.

If you or someone you care about is struggling with addiction, anxiety, or emotional pain, there is help.

Through compassion, understanding, and cooperation, healing becomes possible.

Below you can find trusted organizations and helplines in Denmark and around the world that offer professional and confidential support.

Take the first step — reach out, talk, and let hope begin to grow.

Over 35 million people worldwide struggle with addiction — but recovery is possible when compassion meets action.

“Healing begins the moment we choose to share our pain.”

“Even in the darkest moments, a single act of kindness can light the way.”
